Project codes in the picker
The official widget renders its dropdown inside Harvest's own iframe, where the format cannot be changed. Metronome uses the Harvest API directly, so projects show as code plus name, grouped by client.
Timers and fixed hours, in the issue view
Start, stop, and restart a running timer with a live duration, or log fixed hours for any date. Accepts 1.5 or 1:30. Notes prefill with the work item key and summary, so entries arrive already labelled.
Entries that link both ways
Each entry carries an external reference back to the Jira work item, so time is filterable per item in Harvest and links back to Jira. Time also mirrors into a Jira worklog with the correct date.

If your team bills through Harvest and works in Jira, the official integration mostly works, with two persistent annoyances: the project dropdown will not show project codes, and mirrored worklogs land with the wrong date.
Metronome is a direct replacement built on the Harvest REST API rather than an embedded widget. The project picker shows the Harvest project code next to the name, grouped by client and searchable, which is how people actually find a project. Start, stop and restart timers with a live duration, or log fixed hours for any date in decimal or clock notation. Notes prefill with the work item key and summary, so entries arrive already labelled.
Every entry carries an external reference back to the Jira work item, so time is filterable per item in Harvest and links back to Jira. Time also mirrors into a Jira worklog with the correct date. Authentication uses Atlassian Forge external authentication, so the app never receives your password or tokens.
