Nuvriqo Attachment Renamer for Jira

Nuvriqo Attachment Renamer provides a simple way to rename attachments directly from a Jira issue.

Open Rename attachment from the issue actions menu, select the attachment, enter the new filename and the app handles the rest.

Jira does not provide a native operation for changing an attachment filename in place. Attachment Renamer therefore creates a replacement attachment using the requested filename and verifies the replacement before requesting removal of the original.

If the replacement cannot be successfully created and verified, the original attachment is retained. Because Jira creates a replacement attachment, the renamed attachment receives a new Jira attachment ID and associated attachment metadata.
