Archive, keep the history

Archived components are marked “[Archived]” and stay on existing work items, so reports and filters still add up. Restore any time with one click, including the original name and description.

Nobody can use it again

If someone still selects an archived component, the app removes it within seconds, sets the successor you defined and leaves a comment. The optional workflow validator rejects it right at Create.

Clean up in bulk

See which components have no open work and haven’t been used for months, archive them, and move their work items to a successor in batches, without sending notifications.

Archive and restore components per project, with reason and successor. Existing work items keep the component, so reports, boards and filters stay correct.

Auto-Guard removes archived components that are still set via inline edit, bulk edit, REST API or Automation, and sets the successor. An optional workflow validator for company-managed projects rejects archived components at Create and any transition.

Suggestions show components with no open work items that have not been used for X months. Move their work items to a successor in bulk, without notifications.

Honest limits: Jira Cloud has no archive flag, so archived components remain visible in the native picker (marked “[Archived]”); the app blocks their use instead of hiding them. API changes are reverted within seconds, not prevented.

Runs on Atlassian, no external services. English and German.
