Search what customers answered
Every Jira Forms answer becomes JQL, including questions not linked to a Jira field. Use formAnswer, formName, formQuestion and formText in filters, queues, dashboards and automation.
Form history on every request
See which answers changed, from what, to what, and when. Reopened, submitted and removed forms are recorded too, and each current answer has a one-click search.
You decide what is indexed
Index all forms or only some, exclude sensitive questions and keep internal forms out of search. Map numbers and dates to typed fields for ranges and sorting.
More details
Quick start, about five minutes:
1. Install the app, then open Jira settings, Apps, Searchable Forms.
2. Select Run backfill now. The status card shows Up to date when existing forms are indexed.
3. Pick all forms or only some, and untick questions that hold sensitive data. Internal forms stay out of search unless you turn them on.
4. Optional: map number and date questions to formNumber1 or formDate1 for ranges and sorting.
5. In issue search, switch to JQL and try formAnswer = "department=Finance", formName = "access-request" or formText ~ "laptop". Save the query as a filter for dashboards, queues and automation.
6. Open any request and expand Form history in the sidebar to see current answers, a search link for each, and what changed and when.
Edits are picked up hourly, and at once when someone opens Form history. Forms are read, never changed. No data leaves your site. The optional Rovo assistant is off by default.
