Project Cost Tracker shows what a Jira project really costs, on one project page. It reads the worklogs logged on the project, multiplies each person’s hours by their hourly cost rate and compares the total with the project budget.
What you get: budget, total cost, remaining budget and percent consumed with a red, amber or green status; cost by contributor, by issue type and by assignee in sortable tables; a CSV block ready to copy into a spreadsheet; rates and budget editable only by project admins, checked server-side.
Quick start:
- Open your Jira project and select the Project Cost Tracker tab.
- As a project admin, enter the project budget in Rates and budget and select Save budget.
- Under Hourly cost rates, enter each contributor rate and select Save rate.
- Read the budget snapshot and the cost tables, built from your worklogs.
Runs on Atlassian Forge with no external egress, so your Jira data never leaves Atlassian.
