Approvals that record who, when, and what

Every approval records the approver, a UTC timestamp, the exact page version, and a SHA-256 hash of the approved content. Approver rules are enforced on the server, so they cannot be bypassed from the interface.

Catches edits made after sign-off

If anyone edits an approved page the status flips immediately, and the change is written to the audit trail with both hashes. A page edited after sign-off is never reported as merely overdue.

One-click evidence pack for your auditor

Export the document register and full approval trail for any date range as CSV: owner, approver, timestamp, page version and content hash. This is the artefact you hand the auditor.

More details

Auditable answers the three questions an auditor asks about every controlled document: who approved it, when it was last reviewed, and whether it is still the version that was approved. Confluence cannot answer these on its own — its audit log does not record content edits, and it has no concept of a review date. Create a control set to place a Confluence space under document control with an owner, a review cadence and a standard: ISO 27001:2022, NIS2, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, SOC 2 or custom. Approving a page records the approver, a UTC timestamp, the exact page version and a SHA-256 hash of the approved content. Edit that page afterwards and the status flips to “Changed since approval”, with the change written to an append-only audit trail holding both hashes. The evidence pack exports the document register and full approval trail for any reporting period as CSV. Built on Atlassian Forge: it runs inside your own Atlassian cloud and never edits a page.

Summary
First release: document control, review cycles and auditor evidence export
Details

First public release of Auditable for Confluence Cloud. Register any Confluence page as a controlled document with a named owner and approver. Approvals are recorded with the page version and a SHA-256 hash of the approved content, so the app detects and flags any edit made after approval. Review cycles run on a schedule you choose (30 to 365 days) with automatic reminders before the due date. A global dashboard shows every controlled document by state - approved, changed since approval, overdue, or awaiting approval - and a page byline badge shows the same status in context. Export the full register and approval trail for any date range to CSV for auditors. Built on Atlassian Forge: all data stays inside your own Atlassian cloud instance and the app requests read-only Confluence scopes.
