Key highlights of the appAdd multiple request participants to JSM requests from a Jira group, emails or account IDs in Jira Automation, no API token
Add participants from a Jira group
Pick a Jira group in the rule editor and its active members are added as Request Participants. Replaces a custom group field plus hand-built web requests. Requires Administer Jira for the connected user.
Paste emails or account IDs
Add people from a comma- or newline-separated list of emails or account IDs. Unmatched emails are skipped and reported instead of stopping the run. One invalid account ID fails the whole ID batch.
Only adds, never removes
The current participants are read first; only missing people are added. Existing participants are kept and re-running a rule creates no duplicates.

More details
ParticipantFlow for JSM adds one action to Jira Automation: Add Request Participants. Point it at a request (usually {{issue.key}}) and choose a source: a Jira group, a list of emails, or a list of account IDs. No API token and no Send web request step to build.
- Group: adds the group’s active members (up to 500 per run). Needs Administer Jira permission for the connected user.
- Emails: comma- or newline-separated; addresses that match no user are skipped and reported.
- Account IDs: sent to Jira as one batch, so one invalid ID makes the step fail.
Existing participants are never removed, and people who are already participants are skipped. Re-running the action does not remove existing participants or add duplicates. Results are returned as smart values such as {{updatedJiraResult.summary}} for later steps. Note that Jira may notify participants and give them portal access to the request, per your project settings.
