(2023 edit) This app is the definitive content sourcing app for Confluence. We tried it on trial, loved it, and have been very happy together for years since. We use thousands of these macros in our site. The app on Server is absolutely flawless and does everything you want it to do. The multiexcerpt-enhanced-permissions macro was wonderful. We had zero issues with the Server app. The app on Cloud unfortunately has some limitations due to Atlassian's development decisions. The vendor has done a great job of detailing these things in their documentation and giving the best performance possible under the circumstances. Vendor support is very responsive and resolves technical issues quickly. Documentation is very good too! I highly recommend this product.

We are considering implementing Confluence Cloud as our document production system. To be honest, we would have passed on implementing Confluence Cloud based on its standard features alone, but MultiExcerpt has dramatically increased the likelihood of implementation. The support and development team do a great job. They are always quick to answer questions and FIX problems immediately. We still have some issues with the use of MultiExcerpt due to the way our documentation, but the response so far has been excellent and reassuring.
