Looks like a very useful add-on but we are on the cloud. Are there any plans to release a cloud version of RefinedWiki?

    Hi Deniz,

Thank you for the great review. As a matter of fact we do already have a version of Refined Theme for Confluence on Cloud. You can find it here. However it differs from the Server version in that it focuses more on customizing spaces. Feel free to contact support.refinedwiki.com if you need any further assistance.

Very useful plugin that allows users to blog and share notes. We migrated from the previous product "RefinedWiki Blog Plugin" and the support staff was very helpful to move to the new platform.

Great to hear. Thanks very much Boris!

The most useful theme add-on we have come across : Clean, flexible, modern layout that is easy to customize and leaves just enough options without becoming too complicated. Most recommended.

Cheers Brice! We couldn't have put that better ourselves. We really appreciate the carefully thought out and glowing review!

    估计我是第一个用中文写评论的。Refined Theme for Confluence 这个插件很强大,好用。缺点:说明文档太少,需要自己摸索着使用。

Thank you for our first review in Chinese! It's great that you have discovered the power and ease of use of Refined Theme. We appreciate your feedback on the documentation, and we can assure you we are working on this!

We're very happy with this add-on, however, it no longer works with version 6 at all (I had to delete it from the database to allow Confluence server to launch). Is there an ETA for update in latest version of Confluence? Many thanks.

    Hi Karl,

We are currently working on adding support for Confluence 6.0 which will be included in our next release scheduled to go out this month.

Update: Support for Confluence 6.0 has been released in RefinedTheme 5.1.0

It's great. It really is - but in the long run, it won't even be an option. Their licensing model stretches to $10,000 for unlimited users, and the jump from $10 for 10 Users, to $500 for 25 users, is literally insane. We could spend MUCH LESS to hire a design company to make a theme, than it would cost us to license this in the long run. It's a shame they don't realize just how flawed their pricing really is.

    Hi Marcus,

We are sorry to hear this was your impression. The reason for the jump from $10 (10 user license) to $500 (25 user license) is that RefinedWiki as well as Atlassian and most Atlassian app vendors offer a starter license with a low price for smaller teams. Our app pricing is comparable to similar offerings on the marketplace and we feel we provide good value given the extensive and useful features included in the app.

In any case, we are happy to help out if you have any questions and we hope you reconsider using the app.

    Kind regards,

    RW Team

Really positive first impressions from what I've seen in the trial version! Clean, easy to edit, and very adaptable to specific spaces. Would it be possible to make the header logo adjustable in specific categories or even spaces and unlink it from the global logo? That would make this near perfect! Thanks!

    Hi Eric

Thank you for your kind words, good to hear you’re liking what you see!

For the logo it would be easier if you could contact us at support.refinedwiki.com or support(at)refinedwiki.com, there might be some things you can do with the logo, depending on what you are going for. Just drop us a note and we’ll get back to you!

    Hi Andrii,

Sorry to hear you've had some trouble with the app. We have a support service where you can file a ticket and get technical help: support.refinedwiki.com.

Regarding navigating to delete a space, this is valuable feedback we will take on board. We have sent your comments over to the product team. You can also suggest product improvements by filing a ticket on our support service. Regarding the create button, there must be a misunderstanding here as the 'create' page button is in the same location as it is in raw Confluence. Please get in touch if you require further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    The RefinedWiki Team

Hi! We are very interested in installing this add-on but we are on the cloud and the cloud version doesn't look as attractive as the server version. Do you have any documentation to help install it on the cloud and any comparison on what is not possible to do in the cloud version? Thanks!

    Hi Emmanuel,

Thanks for reaching out with your question about RefinedTheme for Confluence and RefinedSpaces differences. As you thought, RefinedTheme for Confluence Server has a different feature set to RefinedSpaces for Confluence Cloud.

We have a blog post about the differences here: RefinedTheme for Confluence Cloud is now called RefinedSpaces.

Or you can read more specifically about RefinedSpaces features on our documentation: RefinedSpaces Documentation.

Another option is of course to install it and try it out yourself (free for 30 days).

Any questions you may have, you are welcome to ask at support.refinedwiki.com or support@refinedwiki.com.

    Cheers, RW team

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host product. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your host product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server apps, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server apps are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
