Well...for one thing this version will work. More than I should have said about the last two versions (very very sad but true).
We fixed a lot in this release:

With v2.0.7 we wanted to backport all of the latest features to Jira versions v5.1.2+ but this critical bug made off with that plan. Instead we fixed the bug within 4.5 hours and were able to include a few of the performance improvements intended to shorted index times and simplify problem reporting.

LCCF-35 - Unable to create new issues with the CCC Last Comment plugin installed/enabled
(yea...that sucked)
We're pleased to announce...6.0+ compatibility + enhanced contextual viewing
NOTE: Until you configure/re-configure the plugin this release use the following defaults for rendering text:
----
After a long _(much too long)_ delay we are very pleased to announce the release of Last Comment 2.0.6 build 420 - compatible with Jira v6.0+
We are extremely thankful for all the support (and purchases) of our little plugin and am sorry for the delay in getting a 6.0+ compatible version released to the marketplace.
But! We have a new Office Manager (say hi to Natalia) to provide us with some long needed support and organization (primarily organization) and will soon have more of our spectacular ideas rolling off the funway.
In addition to providing compatibility with Jira 6.0 through 6.1 we have also resolved some long-standing customer requests related to how the comment is displayed. Specifically you can now have the last comment rendered differently in three different contexts:
Additionally we've provided a configuration option to not remove the new lines/carriage returns if your organization prefers to view the text in it's original style.
Thank you all for your support and if you bump into me (William Crighton) at summit next week feel free to share any improvements or features you'd like to see added.

NOTE: Installing this release will reset the Last Comment property settings to their default values...Yep, we know, all 4 of them. Hopefully it will at most be a minor annoyance to most.
This release is the result of some excellent assistance from Jay Armstrong helping us debug a problem he encountered during a background reindex. Because of the way we were storing the plugin's property settings in certain instances an exception would be thrown when re-indexing the last comment field.
The resolution to this problem, as noted in bold above, required us to rewrite how the property values were stored (read...we called the OTHER 'storeProperty' routine) - the result of this allowing reindexes to proceed unimpeeded (yea!) but resetting each of the 4 plugin property values to their default value (boo!).
As part of the release cycle we made a minor change to the plugin name (removed the 'Custom Field' part) and modified the plugin description (marketing approved version).
Other plugin listing: CCC Transition Reorder X - Workflow Transition reorder utility
Updating the plugin will not change how it worked previously.
Finally, some changes!
Last Comment has been upgraded to work with all Jira 5.x versions.
To allow us to do this - and by doing so commit to never being further than One month out of date from a major release (two weeks or any minor release that breaks functionality) we've had to take the plugin commercial.
For those unfamiliar with this simple plugin please take a look at the included screenshots.
We are deprecating our Studio site for this plugin and migrating everything over to our OnDemand instance....Soon. Atlassian tells us everything will be migrated by 14 Feb.
Additionally there are some important fixes coming - namely to how we handle Wiki Markup in the last comment. The current plan is to just strip it out of the comment and not let it count towards the extracted comment length, but we haven't come to a conclusion on the design yet.
This version (1.0.11) is compatible with Jira 4.4.x.
Apparently we have incorrect install instructions on our Wiki. Please ignore them. Install this plugin via the plugin manager in Jira. Do NOT copy the jar into your WEB-INF/lib directory.
You can just Upload the plugin jar if for some reason you cannot get the plugin manager to pull it from the plugin repository. Or you can just copy it into <jira home>/plugins/installed-plugins/ and restart your Jira server.
4.3 Compatibility added.
Plugin logo created and added. Not a lot of work went into the logo making.
We've upgraded the plugin to be a version 2 plugin plus we've removed the username/datetime stamp from the plugin comment.
Our thought with removing the username/timestamp is that information can be shown via the 'last updated by' field along with the days since last comment field. It cleans up the last comment string and makes it smaller (fewer lines - well, 1 fewer line)
Note: We changed the file name to 'ccc-lastcomment-<version>.jar - you will need to delete the previous version when installing this one. This one is 'ccc-lastcomment-1.0.45.jar'.
This is still a v1.0 version plugin that needs to go into WEB-INF/lib. We're working on the v2.0 but ran into some problems and needed to get this change released, so there you go.
Enjoy! It has been tested with all the 4.0, 4.1 releases and so if you have problems please raise and issue in the Jira project located here: https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/LSTCMT
The source is out of date and we apologize for that - it's not that we don't want to share, we've just not refreshed it for a while and aren't in the habit of refreshing it for each release (yet).
Fixed bug where it will display last comment regardless of whether the current user has permission to view it
