Key highlights of the appVersion-bound page approval, with no workflow to build
The seal breaks when the page changes
Every approval is bound to the page version it was granted against. Publish an edit and the badge turns red at once - “Stale - approved at v1, page is now v2”. Nobody has to notice, and nobody can rely on it by mistake.
Approve without leaving the page
The status sits under the page title, where the reviewer already is. Approve or request changes in one click - no separate queue, no ticket, no second tool to check.
An audit trail that answers the question
Every decision is recorded with who, when, and which version. When an auditor asks whether this page was signed off, the answer is on the page - not in someone’s inbox from eighteen months ago.
More details
Approval Seal binds every approval to the exact page version it was granted against. Edit the page and the badge turns red: “Stale - approved at v12, page is now v13”.
An approval badge sits under the page title. Request approval, approve, or request changes without leaving the page. Every approval records who approved, when, and against which version, and a per-page history shows every request, decision and invalidation.
Current limits, stated plainly: no multi-approver quorum, no space-level policy, no organisation-wide dashboard, and Live Docs are not yet covered.
Built entirely on Atlassian Forge. It runs inside Atlassian’s cloud with no external servers and no network egress, and requests no write access to your content.
Not a compliance certification: Approval Seal provides features your own validated process can use. It does not certify your organisation against ISO 9001, ISO 13485, SOC 2, 21 CFR Part 11 or any other standard.

- Aug 29th 2026
- Summary
- First public release: approvals that expire the moment a page is edited
- Details
Approve a Confluence page from its byline, and have that approval bound to the exact page version it was granted against.
Publishing an edit turns the badge stale automatically, so no page can carry an approval that belongs to an older version.
Every request, decision and invalidation is recorded with the reviewer, the date and the version, and shown as history on the page.
