OutSync: Leave, Vacation & Out of Office with Google Sync

OutSync manages employee time off directly inside Jira. Employees submit self-service leave requests from a simple form; their running balance updates live, with pending requests kept separate so nothing is double-counted before it's decided.

Approvers review from a queue scoped to their own teams, or fall back automatically to the project lead if none is configured. A Team availability panel, opened from the board's own menu, shows who's out today, over the next two weeks, or the next month.

Configure an org-wide accrual policy (days per year, half-day increments, carryover cap), exclude public holidays per region, and log leave for contractors without a Jira account.

Optional: connect one Google account and OutSync automatically creates and maintains a shared Google Calendar per team — approved leave appears on it, and disappears again if cancelled. Every other feature works identically without it.
