    • Removed legacy SOAP user/group lookup, re-implemented with REST
    • Updated the addon for Compatibility with Confluence 6+
    • Reworked the Space and Plugin configuration screens to better blend with current Confluence versions

Loving this plugin as this seems to finally realise what many of our users are looking for. We are running Confluence 5.10 / Server with 10,000 users and can only purchase / install it as soon as it has been release for 5.10. Also I could not figure out how to have groups only available in the space where they have been created when testing. All groups I have created were available in all spaces afterwards?!

Hi, we took over CSUM earlier this year, thought I'd respond. Groups created by CSUM are just Groups in Confluence, that cannot be 'hidden' from other Spaces, but, the point is that they can only be managed through CSUM in the Space that they were created - or unless a system admin does the work.

Digging this plugin! It still partially works in 5.10.7 but only for system admins, not users. Looking forward to a 5.10 compatible release. Thanks Sillycat!

This is one of the most useful plugins for Confluence. In CONF 5.9.14 we recently updated the plugin is marked as incompatible. Even here on the Atlassian marketplace the plugin (version 2.4.1) is marked as compatible for Confluence Server 5.9.14. What is the truth? I tried it on our QA system and it seems still to work fine. I would further suggest that Atlassian might buy your plugin and implement it as a core function into Confluence. In my eyes such a functionality is a must for a larger installation (like we have).

Good plugin but compatibility with the latest Confluence version would be much appreciated. Is it planned? Regards

We've been using the free version of this plugin since a long time on two 10.000 user setups. Since we updated Confluence we had to switch to the paid plugin. Currently the plugin does not what it's supposed, most importantly adding users to existing groups does not work. There also seem to be some other nasty bugs that we need to get fixed fast. I am currently unable to access documentation and issue tracker, getting "This project isn't available" at https://thepluginpeople.atlassian.net/projects/CSUM. It's ok to make a plugin paid in order to cover maintenance costs, but this is not what we expect from a paid version. UPDATE: Thank you for your fast reply here, solving the issues within of a few days (CSUM-60,CSUM-61) and releasing 3.0.5 & 3.0.6. I've therefor updated my rating.

    Hi Cedric,

Re: Access, it seems your user account was disabled, should be ok now.

Re: Bugs, if you tell us what they are we can fix them, we're not aware of any, use JIRA or email above.

We took CSUM over a year ago and with 3.0, CSUM has been entirely rewritten to solve them all. CSUM does exactly what we expected and many customers expect, you're referring to one particular feature where, clearly, something has been lost in translation, and we're more than happy to adjust features that you depend upon where that makes sense. First port of call in all such cases is to log a support ticket, just mail *support@thepluginpeople.com*.

Very much like the product, unfortunately, we cannot justify the cost for 10000+ user license :-(

Sad to hear that, we tried to pick a price point that wasn't too great, CSUM is only 11% product price. We have just completed a major rewrite that solves some performance issues that DC customers would have had, all that is baked in to the cost.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian product. For example, if you have a Confluence license for 500 users, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Atlassian product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Learn more about Data Center licensing

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.

    Pricing FAQ

How does Data Center app pricing work?

Data Center apps are sold as an annual subscription. You are eligible for support and version updates as long as your subscription is active.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my Data Center pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian product. For example, if you have a Confluence license for 500 users, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Atlassian product license, the two licenses should match exactly.
