Password-protect one section of any page
Add a password-protected panel to any Confluence page. Only people with the password can read it, not the page owner or a site admin. A one-time recovery code covers you if you forget your password.
Unlock, read, and edit right on the page
Unlocking opens a real rich-text editor immediately, in place, whether you're viewing the page or editing it. It autosaves as you type, so there's no separate edit mode or save button to remember.
Encrypted in your browser, not on a promise
Content is encrypted client-side with AES-256 before anything is sent. Confluence stores ciphertext only, never the password or the key. No external servers, no third party in the path.

Runs entirely on Atlassian Forge. There are no external servers and no third party to trust — your content stays within Atlassian's infrastructure.
HOW THE ENCRYPTION WORKS
- A random AES-256-GCM key encrypts your content in the browser, via the Web Crypto API, before anything is sent
- That key is sealed under your password with PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 at 600,000 iterations — OWASP's 2023 recommendation
- Only ciphertext is ever stored. The password and the content key never leave your browser
IF A PASSWORD IS FORGOTTEN
- A 140-bit recovery code, issued once, holds a second copy of your key sealed with RSA-OAEP-3072
- One code covers every panel you create, and nothing stored anywhere can reveal it to us or to anyone else
