Assets Gadgets for Jira & JSM (Dashboards, Portal view, AQL)

The tool provides essential statistics on assets in use, which we rely on to track services and applications for change management. It offers robust capabilities for grouping assets by various fields and customizing views—enabling users to see only the assets they have permission to access, or to create public dashboards for external clients to monitor service or application (asset) status.

Assets Gadgets for Jira helped us improve our license management process and make asset ownership much more transparent. Our internal customers can now see directly in the JSM portal which licenses they are responsible for and what budget they should plan for the next quarter. This helped us improve cost transparency and optimize software-related expenses. For Jira users, we also use the dashboard gadgets to provide more detailed statistics about license usage, ownership, statuses, and renewals. The app is easy to configure, works well with AQL, and is very useful for organizations that manage software licenses or other assets in Jira Assets.

Great app that finally gave us the ability to place Assets gadgets on dashboards, something Atlassian itself still doesn’t provide properly. Also, huge thanks to the team: we requested a feature for our specific use case, and they implemented it within just a couple of days.
