File Type Checker for Jira Cloud helps admins enforce a file type policy on Jira attachments which
- reduce security risk
- ensure conformance of authorised file formats
- conserve disk space and bandwidth by blocking certain file types
Key features:
- File Type Checker: set an allowlist or denylist of file extensions. Unauthorised uploads trigger an alert comment and can be kept with a warning, moved to quarantine, or deleted permanently. It addresses CWE-434 (Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type), a common finding in Vulnerability Assessment Tests.
- Attachment Searcher: allows search attachments and bulk download as a zip.
- Attachment Report: see attachments by file type and contributor to spot unusual uploads and refine policies.
