Edit any Confluence page in Markdown

Open a page or blog post as Markdown, edit it beside a preview of the page, and publish native Confluence content. Images and other apps' macros are kept as they are.

Diagrams, math and tables, rendered

Mermaid diagrams, KaTeX math, GitHub tables, task lists and highlighted code show up on the page the way the preview shows them.

Templates that fill in the details

Admins write templates with variables like {{date}}, {{date+7d}} and {{user.name}}. They're filled in when someone starts a macro or a new page from the template.

  • New page from Markdown: write a child page in Markdown, then publish it or save a draft.
  • Template variables: {{date}}, {{date+7d}}, {{user.name}}, {{page.title}} and more, filled in when someone picks a template.
  • Callouts: > [!NOTE] and :::warning[Title] render as Confluence panels.
  • Table of contents with [[toc]], and a copy button on code blocks.
  • Search and export: macro content is found by Confluence search and kept in PDF and Word exports.

Improved

  • The macro looks like native Confluence content, in light and dark mode.
  • Faster pages: code highlighting, math and diagrams load only when a macro uses them.
  • Drag to resize the editor and the preview.

Fixed

  • Images written as ![alt](https://...) in Edit with Markdown are now published.
