A new "Use Case" quick template draws actors, system boundaries, use cases, include relationships, generalization, and notes — handy for requirements and scope discussions. The in-editor Help guide documents the same diagram with copy-paste sample syntax.
Mermaid 12 brings a new default layout engine and refreshed color palettes for flowchart, state, and class diagrams. All 30 templates were verified against Mermaid 12.
Existing diagrams automatically re-render with the new engine on next view — no action or migration needed. ZenUML sequence diagrams are unchanged.
