Key highlights of the appBacklog cleanup for stale issues: find work nobody has touched and bulk close the rest with the reason on record
Scoped to your own desk
Pick one board or one project and a number of days. You tidy your team's backlog, not other teams' tickets, and saved scopes make the next sweep one click.
Review, then act
A scannable list with per-item deselect, group by assignee, and a second explicit confirmation before anything changes. Dozens at a time, no pagination.
The reason survives, and so does undo
The audit comment is written before the transition, Won't Do is the default so throughput and velocity stay honest, and every sweep can be reopened from its history.

More details
Backlogs fill up with work nobody will do, and every stale item costs a little attention at every grooming session. Tacet finds that work, shows it to you in one list, and retires it with an audit comment on every item, so the history explains itself.
Choose a board or a project and how many days of silence count as stale. Exclusions keep active sprints, future-dated work, items with open children and anything carrying a keep label out of the list. Deselect what should survive, write the reason once, and close the rest in bulk, or warn first and close after a grace period.
Won't Do is the default resolution, so retired work never counts as finished in throughput or velocity. Every sweep is recorded and can be reopened, which puts each item back in the status it had. Tacet acts as the person using it, so Jira's own permissions decide what can be closed. Zero external network egress.
