Booking | Assets Scheduling for Jira and JSM

We’ve been using this booking app for about three months, and it has already made a noticeable difference in how we manage our reservations. It allowed us to move away from our previous Outlook-based system, which was not integrated with Jira at all. Now everything is centralized within the app, making the booking process much clearer and more efficient. The tool is still evolving, and a few additional features would help address our remaining needs. However, our discussions with the developer show a genuine commitment to improving the product, which is very encouraging. We’re looking forward to seeing how the app continues to develop.

The biggest challenge teams usually faced was ensuring that environments were available exactly when it was needed. Many times, multiple teams tried to book the same environments simultaneously, leading to confusion and delays. The Booking App completely transformed this process - it’s easy to configure, and the visual timeline provides clear visibility well in advance, allowing teams to plan better. I highly recommend this app not just for environment booking; it has tremendous potential to streamline many other scheduling and resource management scenarios across teams.

I admit that my scenario of booking rides on increasingly giant beavers might seem somewhat niche, but mark my words - in the age of AI you’ll all be riding terrifyingly huge bucktoothed furry companions soon! Faced with trying to construct an easy to manage booking system I naturally did as most people do and read none of the instructions… and was pleasantly surprised to find just how easy it is to use this Booking app. I particularly like the way it automagically creates a host Jira Space for you (if one isn’t created already), and has options like linking to native Assets in JSM as the objects of booking (my next experiment for our Beaver service). Having proven its merit on our dam fine usecase, I can’t wait to find more opportunities to use the app to create simple intuitive experiences.

We have been searching for a simple, straight forward booking of a few resource in a easy, yet adjustabel setup, that is very easy for our customers to actually use in JSM portal. This is the only app in Jira at the moment that offers a range of settings in an easy manner, adjustable for your needs. And I have to give a shoutout to their support and development. Less than 2 weeks from when a new feature was suggested, it is provided in a new version. And hours after a minor bug is reported, is was already fixed and live in a new version! High recommended!
