This add-on is required for Black Duck users that want Alert to create and resolve issues for them. The app indexes the issue property that Alert adds to the issues it creates to allow Alert to look them up again later.
Without this app, Alert will be able to create new issues but it will potentially create duplicate issues and will not be able to resolve issues it has created in the past.
