Why won't it let me select my project and create the test cases under it ? It just creates a completely new project and starts throwing generated test under it ?

Hi Alan,
When using the test case generator to create Jira tickets, you can define the project where the test cases should be generated. This can be configured in the AI Test Case Generator Project Configuration page which you can find under Apps -> Your Apps -> AI Test Case Generator Project Configuration. Here you can define the test strategy. Default options are Ad Hoc and Jira Tickets. If you have set up any integrations with Xray, Zephyr or TestRail, these can also be configured here.
When using the test strategy Jira Tickets, you can select the Jira Project where you want the tickets to be created. You can also select the issue type that you would like the test cases to be (any system defined issue type or custom issue type available in the selected project). The Ad Hoc strategy creates the test cases as a table directly on the requirements ticket itself, if that has your preference.
Hopefully this information helps. You may always reach out to info@solidini.com for further support.

It appears to write test cases only based on whatever is in the issue's Description field. This is an issue for us as most of our requirements are in other additional fields, so the test cases are extremely simple and limited. There is no way to indicate in the settings which fields the app should use to generate test cases. I was really hopeful this would be a great solution to build efficiency for our manual testers, but it isn't even close to robust enough to have an impact for us.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. You're absolutely right that the test case generator currently only uses the Description field as input, this is also outlined in the documentation. That said, it is a good suggestion to include other fields to make the AI Test Case Generator more broadly compatible.
Let's get in touch to discuss this further and ensure that a potential solution also fits your workflow.
If you're open to discuss this further, please contact us at info@solidini.com.

It does not work with Xray. For Xray, there is no Test Case section, only Test Item. And when I create new Test ticket or navigate to Scenario section, Generate test case button is NOT displayed

Hi Đông Thức Nguyễn,
Thank you for for taking the time to submit a review. For Xray, the integration creates a Test ticket and will populate the Test Details section based on the test style that you have selected.
If you've chosen the classic test style, it will enter a <step> - <expected result> formatted test case of type Manual in the Xray test.
If you've chosen the BDD test style, it will enter a BDD scenario of type Cucumber in the Xray test.
I'd love to understand your expectations better, would you be able to send an email with screenshots (or a recording) to info@solidini.com?

I recently installed the AI Test Case Generator and encountered an issue while exporting tests from Jira to TestRail. I reported the problem to Solidini, and received a prompt response. Ben was incredibly helpful and responsive, quickly identifying the root cause, which was related to a custom field we use in TestRail. He provided a solution in no time!

Thank you Simina! It was great that you were available to hop on a call for a debug session so quickly. I hope you enjoy the app.
