I set it up wrong and didnt get the expected result. Support immediately helped me change a setting to make it work the way I want.

  However, the app does support moving open issues to the next sprint, but this needs to be configured in the Auto Sprint Closure (app homepage) settings. If no future sprint exists at the time of closure, the app defaults to either creating a new sprint (named Auto Custom Sprint) or moving items to the backlog — based on your setup.
