Track team performance across Sprints

PerformanceSavvy displays the trends in the performance of a Software Engineering team using information available in the Atlassian Jira Project that the team uses to track its work items. The following metrics are used to measure the team performance:

  • Productivity: Sum of Story Points of completed User Stories (stories in the Done state).

    This metric excludes the effort that the team spends in fixing Bugs and completing Tasks because Bugs and Tasks are not assigned Story Points. This metric excludes User Stories in the ToDo and In-progress states.

    As an option, the Productivity metric may include only those User Stories that are result in source code changes included in the 'main' source code branch.

  • Quality: Number of open Bugs (Bugs in the ToDo state) in the Project Backlog at or above a selected priority level. The priority level can be Highest, High, Medium, Low or Lowest.

    This metric excludes Bugs that are in the In-progress state or Closed states.
