Capable for Confluence (All-in-One)

We decided to introduce Capable within our organisation because of the broad range of features it brings to Confluence. One of our priorities was consolidating our existing diagramming apps into a single solution, so our experience so far has focused particularly on Capable’s diagramming capabilities. Within our Confluence Cloud environment of approximately 5,000 users, we previously relied on both PlantUML and drawio. Capable offers many, if not most, of the diagramming capabilities our users were accustomed to across these tools, while allowing us to consolidate them into one solution. We recently migrated 9,000+ diagrams and pages to Capable, and our experience with both the product and the team behind it has been very positive. What particularly impressed us was the collaboration throughout the migration. We identified several smaller capabilities that were still missing compared with our previous tooling and shared this feedback with the Capable team. They were very receptive and, in several cases, quickly implemented upgrades to close these gaps. Their support throughout the migration was responsive and hands-on, helping us investigate edge cases and successfully complete a large-scale transition. We’re very happy with the outcome and look forward to exploring more of Capable’s functionality as the platform continues to develop.

Our experience with this app spans around six months, from the initial discussions through assessment and migration. The team, especially Jack, was highly supportive throughout the journey and open to feedback, introducing new migration paths for old legacy apps based on our requests. The app evolved quickly during this period with noticeable improvements aimed at enterprise use cases and covers the majority of our users’ use cases. This diagram tool is a game changer. Test it, make your own opinion, but mine is : "Capable" have deserved my time to make this review. 10 years long i have a waited a "serious" tool able to make conventional and reusable diagrams (ERD, DBML, architecture, C4, Mermaid, latex...and the best integrated BPMN i have ever used) all in one solution. Confluence integration and UX are brilliantly designed, with large choice of presets. I have experienced minor issues with - very - large files (in text edition), but support is efficient and professional. This plugin could - and should - quickly become a new standard on diagram tooling.
