Script Master for Jira

Very nice app that replace ScriptRunner for free.

Finally, a company that understands how to take advantage of Forge infrastructure and isn't charging some insane user-based monthly fee for it. This gets you 85% of the way to ScriptRunner for free, and since it's forge, your data never leaves Atlassian infra. Keep up the good work KaiserSoft.

This is a great app. It is a great alternative to ScriptRunner, at a much lower price. A lot features to extend Jira e.g. scripted workflow extensions (Conditions, Validators and scripted Post-Functions), scripted custom fields, UI Fragments, custom Dashboard gadgets, Web Triggers to execute you own scripts, and maybe scheduled Jobs. Jira Automation is not good for writing complex automation, e.g. integration with external systems, and so scripting is a better alternative. This app uses JavaScript as the language for scripting, which is great because JavaScript is a standard. If you are a Jira admin but not a programmer, you ask a JavaScript developer to help you out. You can also tie into Atlassian’s Forge functionality without needing to build and deploy your own Forge app to the Atlassian Marketplace (of course there is a limit to what you can do). To tie into the Forge functionality, you would need to understand the APIs lying behind Forge, of course.
