Excalidraw Mermaid Diagrams for Confluence

Whiteboard and Diagrams for Confluence embeds the Excalidraw editor directly into your pages: hand-drawn-style shapes, arrows, freehand drawing, shape libraries, and dark mode, all without leaving Confluence. Alongside freehand sketching, write Mermaid syntax for a flowchart or sequence diagram and it renders straight into the same scene as an image — so a process diagram and your hand-drawn annotations live in one Excalidraw scene together.

Create a scene, attach it to a Confluence space, and insert it on any page with the "/excalidraw" macro. Edit the scene once and every page referencing it reflects the change — no re-exporting or re-uploading images each time something changes. Finished scenes export to PNG, SVG, or the open .excalidraw JSON format for use outside Confluence.

Built entirely on Atlassian Forge, with scene data stored within your Atlassian instance. Note: editing is single-editor per scene — simultaneous multi-user editing isn't currently supported.
