Speech to Text for Jira adds a voice panel to the Jira issue view. Pick your language from a full list of locales, click record, and speak — your words are transcribed using the browser's built-in speech recognition. When you stop, choose whether the text becomes a new comment or replaces the issue description.
The same panel is also available to customers on the Jira Service Management request portal, not just internal Jira users with a license — so someone raising a request can describe their issue by voice instead of typing it out, and the transcription goes straight onto the request.
No separate transcription account or service is needed — recognition runs through the browser you're already using. Built on Atlassian Forge for Jira Cloud and Jira Service Management.
