You have broken down an epic and interlinked the stories to indicate which stories are blocking which other stories, and you want to be able to quickly see all dependencies in an epic at a glance as well as view the status of the stories to understand what still needs to be unblocked. With the free version of the Issue Dependency Map for Jira, you can add a visualization widget on a dashboard which automatically lays out the dependency map for your epic. All you have to do is specify the epic key.
