This integration only works if you have a "Discovery Import" or an "External Import". If you use JSON or .csv, this is useless. I was initially excited about this until that discovery was made.

Thanks for sharing the feedback, yes, the app works with the External Import capability, as per the specifications of the Forge development platform, for Atlassian cloud apps. Whilst not built with c.s.v in mind, it is possible that after you have created the schema, you can import via c.s.v, if you wish. Thanks

Its not available for Jira Server where most of the enterprises currently host jira the workaround via building manual queries via lansweeper SQL/API calls is not a solution as most of sync happen in Lansweeper cloud, which is not synced to local lansweeper SQL

      Hey @elie

If you would like to bring your Lansweeper data to your server edition of JSM Assets, this is possible via our public API or direct from Lansweeper on prem SQL DB. Hope this helps.

      Thanks

      Cass

This app has progressed so much in the last 2 years. Pulls in all my assets, hardware and software. Also now gives me insights into vulnerabilities associated with my assets.

The plugin allows you to connect with LanSweeper but has several errors that limit the connection, for example, you will encounter synchronization problems, if your desire is that if an object is deleted from your environment and you want it to be deleted from Assets, you will have problems because when you configure the tool to delete objects that are not detected, LanSweeper and this connector make partial synchronizations and when they do not exist, objects will be deleted from your environment. Another problem you will find is that, although you parameterize that the synchronization periods are daily or weekly, they will always run every hour, these two errors are known errors and notified to the manufacturer, however, when you notify them and ask for a feedback of when they will give solution to these problems, they indicate that they have no date available in the roadmap. This makes it complicated to maintain an inventory of assets fed by LanSweeper from Jira. Other limitations are that you cannot configure more than one schema to perform an inventory in several different schemas or that you cannot configure new objects created by you in the imports. I hope that at some point they will solve all these bugs.
