Support could not be better. Any issues we had in the initial usage were ironed out by working with the folks at Midori. Now the Add-on is performing automated clean up and our search has improved ten fold. This should be installed on every Confluence instance.

Definitely the best plugin out there to clean up your outdated pages and keep your contents up to date. And what is more, the support is absolutely fantastic, both in response time as well as in technical expertise, kudos time and again!

Managing content in large spaces and ensuring pages have up-to-date information is a difficult task and requires a lot of manual intervention. This is an extremely useful plug-in for Confluence which lets you define the content lifecycle, automatically archives expired content (pages that have not been viewed or updated for X number of days), and my favorite feature – Page Status Indicator that shows the health of the page (based on the configured criteria). The support team is exceptionally good – prompt, active and expert in the subject. Although I like the existing features, having the same for Confluence Questions would be absolutely fantastic as our organization is more QnA centric. Would love to see that feature roll out soon!

This plugin is great to make sure content it up-to-date and and automatically archive content. We moved over to Atlassian Cloud. Unfortunately the Archiving Plugin isn't available for Cloud. Please make the plugin available for Cloud customers, thanks!

    Thanks for the review, Martin.

Archiving Plugin for Confluence Cloud is definitely something we are going to release at some point in the future.

    by Patrick Richert on 2018-06-22
The archiving is a great tool, but there is definitely a steep learning curve. Installation is fairly easy, but it can become cumbersome if you have a large number of spaces all with different administrators, or teams of people working on them. Once you get the bulk of the old content archived and can reduce the amount of individual space customization that needs to happen, it becomes much easier to maintain. The archiving features work well, and it saves huge amounts of time that would be spent moving each page manually. Highly recommend the product, just be aware that, as the case studies Midori presents show, there is a lot of thought that needs to go into implementation.

Using Confluence over a longer period of time, one of the main challenge is to keep the Confluence content up-to-date and relevant. As an Atlassian Consultant, I have seen the AddOn help different customers minimize the effort required for managing their content.

Confluence is a great collaboration tool but in enterprise environments, Addteq finds that our customers are faced with the issue of having to tackle stale content. Manually tracking the overall lifecycle of the content and performing cleanup is tedious. Thankfully, the Archiving Plugin for Confluence solves all of these issues and more, therefore, we recommend it to all of our enterprise customers that use Confluence.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host product. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your host product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server apps, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server apps are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
