Admins create and manage effective events
Admins can create events and add Presenters to events. During live Q&A, they can help manage event questions by marking questions as answered/reopening questions, pinning/unpinning questions, or deleting questions.
Presenters host meetings and answer key questions
Presenters can present events in the Presentation mode and during live Q&A, they can help manage event questions by marking a question as answered, and pinning questions to highlight the question being answered.
Attendees ask questions & upvote useful questions
Attendees can join events with an event code and within the event, they can ask questions, and upvote other Attendees questions. Attendees can ask questions both before the event or during the live Q&A.

Townhall is an interactive app, used to create and manage events with audience questions and live Q&A.
The app has 3 main users - Admin, Presenter and Attendee.
As an Admin, you can
- create events with an event name, event code and event timeline
- manage events by adding Presenters, sharing event code with Attendees and deleting events
- manage event questions by marking questions as answered, pinning/unpinning a question, or deleting questions
- view events as a Presenter or an Attendee
As a Presenter, you can
- present events and answer questions in the Presentation mode
- manage events by sharing event code with Attendees
- view events as an Attendee
As an Attendee, you can
- join events with an event code
- view events
- ask questions
- upvote questions
- delete questions
TownHall has easy access to event data from any location - in-person or remote, with real time updates to all users. Also, your data is stored securely in Atlassian’s cloud environment, ensuring no data is leaked outside your company.

Integration Details
TownHall - Live Q&A for Confluence Cloud integrates with your Atlassian product. This remote service can:
- Permits retrieval of user groups.
- View user information in Confluence that you have access to, including usernames, email adresses and profile pictures.
- View the profile details for the currently logged-in user.
- Search Confluence. Note, APIs using this scope may also return data allowed by read:confluence-space.summary and read:confluence-content.summary. However, this scope is not a substitute for read:confluence-space.summary or read:confluence-content.summary.
