Great simple app that helped us a lot in the last year to create standards. Useful when you need the same structure in your tasks or stories for different projects. The only downside is the small latency for the template to load and we can't force the template to apply for when we create a subtask. However, it's really nice that the app give the possibility to apply a template after the creation.

We love this application because of its ease of use, the fact that project administrators can create their own templates, and that Jira administrators are not expected to do this for project teams. We have had so many use cases where this functionality was desired, and teams at our company are happy to bring a level of consistency to their work items that is easily programmed in Jira!

The extension does not trigger if you create a task/bug/story from within an epic. This is the way that 50% of all issues are created for us which makes this app only half decent EDIT: Got support here with a solution to my problem. Now the only annoying thing (that keeps this from a 4 star) is that for a newly created project you need to manually go in and add it to each issue type, even if it is a project created "reusing same config as another".

Applying templates when creating from epic view is supported albeit it requires a small workaround i.e. description field has to be set as required.
