bitvoodoo apps are trusted by 2,800 companies in 74 countries.
The secret key is stored at Atlassian; a random initialization vector is stored in the external hosting database. To decrypt data, both information from Jira and the database are required. This makes it impossible for Atlassian or bitvoodoo to decrypt and read your data even if they wanted to. The secret key is secure; it is stored within Atlassian infrastructure and never leaves it.
Unencrypted data never leaves Jira. It never goes through bitvoodoo servers as it is built using Forge, which restricts all data to Atlassian infrastructure. The app encrypts the values of the custom fields with the 256-bit AES encryption algorithm and saves them securely in the selected database.
