This release improves Data Center scalability, resilience, and security, and upgrades Java support from 17 to 21.
What’s new:
Bounded ALM coverage loading to prevent unbounded memory usage.
Added paged retrieval, hard row limits, payload-size guardrails, and truncation indicators.
Connector cache hardening with max size, eviction, and TTL expiration.
Scheduled keepalive hardening with explicit connect/read timeouts and safer handling for slow or unresponsive ALM endpoints.
Security enhancement: ALM API secrets and proxy passwords are now encrypted at rest.
Added migration support for previously stored plaintext secrets.
Added Active Objects upgrade task for model version 3.
Action required before upgrade:
Configure an encryption key before running 3.0.0:
Env var: ALM_PLUGIN_ENCRYPTION_KEY
JVM property: alm.plugin.encryption.key
Use the same key on all DC nodes, ensure Base64 key length is 16/24/32 bytes decoded, and restart Jira nodes.
