This plugin actually works, putting it at the head of the pack. For what I'm trying to do it doesn't really have the right features though. * You can embed whole files from GitLab repositories * You can embed all files from a directory of a GitLab repository * you can embed a list of issues, with various filtering options * you can embed a list of merge requests, with various filtering options Things I'd like to see: * File embeds cannot be restricted to specific line ranges * directory embeds are not collapsible, cannot be displayed as a file list * cannot embed a list of epics * can't embed boards or roadmaps * no smart-link support for GitLab projects, milestones, epics, issues, or anything else

  Regarding your point on collapsing files for directories. We already support this feature and you can refer to our documentation on how to enable the collapsible option. Maybe you would like to try it and let us know if it is what you were looking for.
  
  Also, regarding your point on “no smart-link support”,  we currently support smart links for file URLs from GitLab.com.  You can copy and paste in the GitLab.com file URL into Confluence and we will render the file. However, we have created a feature request to also support this feature for GitLab Self Managed files.
  
  Finally, for the rest of the points on the items you would like to see, we have created a feature request for each on your behalf that you are welcome to vote for and follow for updates.

Works well for linking files on GitLab SaaS but it is sadly no longer free to use

This plugin allow only public cloud gitlab not public in premise instance. I haven't found any place to change the url for instance. Nevetheless the installation is smooth and the plugin looks promising.
