Salto Configuration Manager for Jira

When I need to remove or rename a configuration element in Jira, my first step is to check all the places that element is used, so I don’t break anything. With Salto, a simple keyword search checks the entire configuration and returns a complete list of results in seconds! There’s no guessing or digging through the Jira database, workflow XML, or automation JSON. I use this app for version control, moving config data between environments, and to get alerts when specific changes occur. Salto even finds changes the Jira audit log doesn’t record. This app is a “must have” for medium to large-sized organizations and mission critical, multi-admin, or highly customized Jira applications.

I have been using this application for a few months and would like to recommend it. As a DevOps manager, it has been a dream come true for me. This application provides the ability to merge configuration changes from one site to another. You can cherry-pick your changes from the test environment and push them to production, similar to working with source control tools like GIT. It also provides tracking on changes, the ability to do rollbacks, find dependencies between elements, and more. I recommend using this app if you are a Jira or JSM admin for a medium or a big company and are managing configuration changes.
