This is an enhanced version of Group Picker custom field type for Jira.
It allows admins to
- limit the groups for selection for the custom field rather than all Jira groups
- specify a user friendly alias in place of defined group names (e.g country_department_groupname)
Additionally, end users need not have browse users permission to be able to select an alias group.
The Group Alias Picker custom field can be used for:
- Permission control
- Notification
- Reporting
