This release makes absence management more flexible and easier to integrate:
- External IDs via REST API: Absences can now carry an optional, per-user unique externalId when created or updated through the REST API, so external systems can identify them reliably.
- More replacement targets: In the absence settings, you can choose the assignee field and any admin-approved user custom fields as replacement targets, so you can tailor replacement rules.
- Automatic alternate users: While an absence is active, the configured alternate user is automatically set on every selected custom field in affected issues, not just the assignee.
- Admin configuration: Admins can define and save which user custom fields are eligible for absence replacement.
