Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on for Jira

App overall works fine but they do take a long time to provide updates. Finally provided update from 1.1.11 to 1.3.7 and all the icons became big in the version, had to rollback. Why is this even a thing for a tool that is for SSO only, that was disappointing. Can use the newest version due to my current DC version, have to wait for support which causes delays.

We have been using the Microsoft Entra ID Single Sign-On for Jira plugin for a few weeks now, and it has been a great experience. As a third-party admin supporting our client's Jira Data Center, I found the setup process very clear and well-documented. The integration with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) worked seamlessly, and our users now enjoy a secure, seamless login experience with their corporate credentials. No more password fatigue or account confusion - exactly what we needed. Support from the vendor was responsive and helpful when we had a few questions during configuration. Highly recommend this plugin if you're looking for a stable and easy-to-deploy SSO solution for Jira!

On v1.1.10 we sometimes get random errors "MS_ERROR : User not Authenticated As Exception occcured class java.lang.NullPointerException". On v1.1.6 we get the other error "MS_ERROR : User not Authenticated As Exception occcured class com.microsoft.saml.exception.SAMLException" when it's the first time the user logs in (apparently). EDIT after answer from the editor: On v1.1.11, it doesn't work on JSM's portal (button doesn't appear, we're in a double configuration for now with both SSO and classic username). The support is impossible to reach (we've tried). We're switching to the native plug-in. Don't download this app.

  We’ve thoroughly tested plug-in version v1.1.10 and were unable to reproduce the error “MS_ERROR: User not Authenticated As Exception occurred class java.lang.NullPointerException”, even during a first-time login scenario.

  Additionally, we’d like to inform you that a newer version of the plug-in has been released. We kindly recommend updating to the latest version and checking if the issue persists.

Worked fine for us until we decided to upgrade to Jira DC 10. 10.0 was released on August 22th 2024, and there's still no version of this App for it. It seems that we have to upgrade to LTS Release 10.3.2 without this App and find another resolution. :-(
