Advanced Kanban: Story Mapping, SAFe & WIP Limits for Jira

Essential for taking Kanban in Jira to the next level: We had been looking for a way for our Jira board to truly reflect what we needed, and with Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards we’ve finally achieved it. The combination of column groups, advanced WIP limits and aging limits has given us very fine‑grained control over our flow, and the custom ordering makes priorities crystal clear for the whole team. The flexible swimlanes are a real strength: we can represent different classes of service, types of work or teams without having to wrestle with Jira’s standard configuration. Adoption was quick, the learning curve was very reasonable, and the team has naturally incorporated it into their day‑to‑day work. Since we started using it, visibility of work in progress and bottlenecks has improved enormously, and our continuous improvement conversations in Kanban sessions are far more concrete. What we value most: - Column groups that let us structure the flow almost exactly like our physical board. - Advanced WIP and aging limits, very useful for spotting blockages and work overload. - Truly flexible swimlanes to adapt the board to our context. - Custom ordering that helps us keep our focus on what really matters. - Simple configuration that the team can understand and use quickly. In summary, this plugin takes Jira’s Kanban boards to the next level, offering far more flexibility and control over flow than the native options.

I've requested a new feature (WIP limits for both column totals and its swimlanes at the same time) that has been developed and delivered in a couple of months, and proves to be very useful.

  Yes, WIP limits are a great way to optimize throughput. We also suggest looking into Aging/Cycle Time limits for Returns counters as an ultimate health indicator for the flow.

Top l'application! Pour mettre en place Kanban selon les réglés et avoir plein d'info à fin de bien se décider ce plugin remplira plus qu'il faut l'affaire. En plus, ils sont une partenariat avec Nave pour les Métriques de flux qui aide beaucoup pour simplifier les config. Service client très réactive pour toute question, interrogation ou suggestion.
