The Bamboo Post function allows you to trigger a build on a workflow transition. This is especially useful for GitOps-style integrations between Jira and Bamboo.
The Bamboo build is triggered using application links and uses the privileges of the Jira user. The issue key that triggered the build is passed as a variable to Bamboo. You can then use this issue key to fetch additional information from Jira.
