Optics - Content Formatting and Presentation Macros (Dex)

I’ve been using Optics for a while now, and honestly, it’s changed the way I approach internal pages in Confluence. The Style Guide was the first thing that won me over. Setting up our brand colors just once and having them applied consistently throughout everything else is a very simple concept, but it makes a huge difference in practice. You no longer have to manually adjust every macro or section. The Viz macro is the one I use most in my day-to-day work. Creating team pages, resource hubs, onboarding guides... It covers a ton of things without requiring you to be a designer. The modules are intuitive, and the results look professional. Dex is one of my favorites. At first, I was skeptical about creating presentation-style content within Confluence, but it really works. I’ve used it for internal updates and team communications. I definitely recommend it, Optics is worth it.

Optics adds a huge visual and structural improvement to the overall Confluence experience. The Style Guide system makes it very easy to create consistent branded pages, and the Viz/Dex workflows feel much more modern and presentation-oriented compared to standard Confluence layouts. What I liked most was how quickly internal pages started feeling polished, organized, and genuinely engaging without needing external design tools. The Teams/Activity sections and CTA-style components were especially well done and felt very practical for real company communication workflows. intuitive, visually modern, and extremely useful for teams wanting cleaner, more professional-looking internal content and presentations inside Confluence.

The tools that I have been waiting for. Personally, I LOVE Dex macro and the templates. It helps me so much as a student and a worker. Literally very, very recommended

I’m honestly impressed with Optics overall. It made creating modern and visually engaging Confluence pages much easier. I also really liked the Dex and Viz macros because they made presentation style pages feel more practical directly inside Confluence without needing external tools.
