More details
User-friendly group renaming. It works on the fly as it should be.
No server restarting or running queries on database is needed anymore!
Rename button available on group pages:
Jira Administration > User Management > Groups > {Group to be renamed} > "Rename" button
REST API provides an ability to automate renaming process or even perform bulk renaming.
At the moment it renames groups in the core of Jira:
- Application Access
- Global Permissions
- Permission Schemas
- Issue Security Schemas
- Notification Schemas
- Project Roles
- Custom Fields
- JQLs
- Workflows
- Boards administrators
- Shared Dashboards
- Shared Search Filters
- Subscriptions
- Gadgets
And not support 3rd party customizations.Data Center version of this application will not be released due to the technical limitations of Jira Data Center. There is no ability to make renaming w/o restarting all nodes. Unfortunatelly.
