Installation

  1. You must install Exalate on all connecting platforms. For Azure DevOps, you can install it from the Visual Studio marketplace, and for Jira, you can install it from the Atlassian marketplace. You can also install Exalate on Azure DevOps via docker. Watch an online video on how to install it on Azure DevOps, if you prefer.
  2. Go to the Azure DevOps marketplace or click on ‘Organization settings’ in your Azure DevOps instance.
  3. Then click ‘Extensions’ > ‘Browse marketplace’.
  4. You’ll be redirected to the Visual Studio marketplace. Search for ‘Exalate for Azure DevOps’.
  5. Click on the app's icon. Then click the ‘Get’ button.
  6. Pick an organization that your installation will work with. Choose one from a drop-down list and click ‘Install’.
  7. You’re all set! Proceed to verify Exalate on Azure DevOps.
  8. Verify Exalate for Azure DevOps You can access Exalate under Organization settings > Extensions. Enter your personal access token in the ‘Proxy User PAT (Personal Access Token)’ field. You can find the detailed procedure to generate a PAT for Exalate here.You need the PAT to access the Exalate admin console. The Proxy user must be a part of the Project Collection Administrator group on the Organization level.
  9. Enter your contact details in the registration form and click ‘Agree and submit’.
  10. You’ll receive an email in your inbox to complete our security check. Open your email and click ‘Verify Exalate instance’.
  11. You’ll be redirected to the Exalate console. Select ‘Continue’.
  12. You can now start installing it on Jira if you still haven’t or proceed to creating your first connection. Happy exalating!
