Released: Dec 14th 2020

Summary

Allow HTTP embeds as well as HTTPS

Details

You can now embed HTTP addresses as well as HTTPS

jFrame for Jira will not longer automatically block you from embedding "http://" URL addresses or embed codes. Instead, our embed wizard will detect if your browser will allow embedding "http://" addresses inside the "https://" based Jira Cloud, and will act according.

What can I embed with this new feature?

  • IP based URL addresses
  • Intranet and localhost websites
  • Legacy systems or any other online "http://" content

How can I make my browser allow me to use this feature?

We will publish tutorials and in app links for all major browsers soon, but for now, please contact us if you need help. We would love to help set you up and get the most out of jFrame.

Thank you for embedding in Jira with jFrame!
