EasyTime Automatic Tracker for Jira Time Tracking

I'm using EasyTime to track time spent on software projects between Jira and VSCode. I had a few must-haves: 1) Time entry had to be automatic - did not want developers estimating time, or going back in after-the-fact to add numbers. I'm not trying to monitor anyone, so am not looking for a solution that can't be gamed. Instead I'm looking for something that the developers just don't have to consider. 2) Had to be able to track time both in Jira and in VSCode. A good chunk of development time is spent in both places. 3) Had to be able to run reports to see time spent. Ideally, be able to set up personal dashboards showing time spent coding vs planning, time spent per issue, etc. EasyTime really knocked #1 and #2 out of the park. Further, they're just about the only option I have been able to find that did so. Reporting could be better, but it's functional for now. We're going to see if there's a way to extract data to build our own more detailed reports. We're not using TempoTime and are not currently concerned about client billing, so I can't speak to the utility of those aspects. But I'm really thrilled with how EasyTime is doing everything that I really wanted it for and will definitely keep using it.

The partial automation of our time sheets using EasyTime takes away a burden on our staff to recall at a very detail level what they have been working on. The smarts in this tool makes the process truly seamless and highly accurate. This massively aids in engagement as manual time sheeting is never a great experience. We also benefit by having real-time information available about where our efforts have been spent. This is a great tool and look forward to all the future improvements as they build more strong integrations.
