Communicate new ideas or thought processes in a visually pleasing diagram which gives structure to concepts and enables fast understanding of relations between concepts.

The Mind Map is securely stored within Confluence and is not exposed to 3rd party servers. Mind Map visualization happens solely in the users browser, which lets you stay in control of your data.

Export Function to export a mind map as PNG for example is missing, therefore 3 instead of 4 stars, otherwise great and very simple to use app

Maps were unable to open, so I had to clone all existing mind maps to draw.io. One map doesn't exist anymore after saving the page.

Sorry for the grief, I feel your pain.

Indeed, there was an outage of 7 days caused by a careless Confluence update from Atlassian. The update accidentally severed the connection of the mind map macro with its underlying attachment data. So mind maps couldn’t be edited and the page macro would always display an example mind map. The only way to view the actual mind map was to look it up in the attachments of the page. While no mind map data was actually lost, the situation was understandably unacceptable for many users.

This being such a critical issue it was quickly escalated to the lead of the Confluence editor team where it was fixed within a day. But it took a while for the fix to be rolled out to Confluence Cloud.

With the deployment of Atlassian’s fix Mind Maps automatically reestablished the link between the macro and its data where required. In cases where a connection could not be found unambiguously, a new dialog guided the user to restore the correct mind map.

I wish this could have been fixed quicker, but it was out of my hands.

If you ever decide to come back, Mind Maps for Confluence will be happy to restore your maps.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Confluence Cloud apps are priced based on the number of Confluence users on your instance. For example, if you have Confluence Cloud (25 users), you pay the 25-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.
