We needed a way to summarize the Time Spent ratio to Estimated Time for all the issues underneath our Epics, but were having to do quite a bit of work to figure it out manually. After we installed "Agile Docs" created by Rhys Diab and eliminated an orphan duplicate "Epic Link" field, everything worked great. Rhys even helped us debug the solution of eliminating the duplicate "Epic Link" field. (The app assumes there is just one Epic Link field...which is logical.) Once we got the Agile Docs working in Jira, we clicked on the "Copy Link" icon and pasted the URL for "Agile Docs" into an iFrame macro in Confluence, where it works just as well there. This is a logical, well designed add on to Jira that is going to eliminate a lot of manual effort. It will help our company scale more quickly and give our leadership quick visibility into some previously buried information.

It's a pitty that the only way to determ the progress of an epic on jira is buyin another App. Even so, the progress cannot be measured by completing subtasks, only from story points.

    Hi Erika,

    Thank you for your feedback.

Unfortunately it isn’t possible to roll up estimate progress to the epic level in Jira, which was the motivation for creating Agile Docs. I understand that it can be frustrating to purchase yet another add on.

The focus of Agile Docs is to roll up progress in terms of % of completed story points and time spent, instead of completed issues. This is because it’s already possible to roll up progress by the number of completed issues natively in Jira, including rolling up completed sub-tasks to the parent issue.

I’d be happy to show you how to access these reports natively in Jira. Please feel free to send me an email at rhys@agiledocs.io if you would like me to show you, or if you have any further questions about Agile Docs.

I highly recommend this add-on. It's a powerful way to visualize all the epics and stories in a given version. Having the % complete on all segments of a project available at a glance helps keep us on track and not miss those smaller follow-up tasks that can sometimes be left behind in an epic after the main feature is released. We are mostly focused on story points, but now have a project in the works that requires time tracking by hours. The toggle to see things by story points or by time logged is just what we need and works great. Rhys has been super responsive to adding suggested features and improvements, sometimes turning them around in a single day. This product is a winner!

As an Agile Kanban shop, we place a priority on good estimates for all Jira issues and strive for full work log reporting for all project activities. Therefore, we needed an accurate view of project - epic - story - AND sub-task status and % complete. Estimates at the sub-task level provided some challenges, but Rhys provide a quick turn-around, working with us to confirm accuracy for roll-ups to the EPIC level. Excellent product, and outstanding support from Rhys. Highly recommend this product.

Good idea, but too buggy. Needs to be refined before it's usable.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Management (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Yes. Academic, community, and open source licenses are available to qualifying organizations. See our Purchasing & Licensing FAQ for more information.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.
