I can't seem to figure out how to share something so that comments against the prototype is stored within Jira. Any modification of the board link doesn't seem to work. Can we get a step by step example of how to share an item to get comments tracked against it?

Cannot contact you through the submitted e-mail since "externalintegrations-core only accepts messages from people on its allowed senders list, and your email address isn't on the list". Is it possible for Adobe Xd Jira plugin to trigger any type of event so that the watchers are notified about a prototype that has been added to an issue? Right now we have to comment on issues so that people know a prototype was added. Adding any file adds a notification but Adobe Xd field does not.

Unable to attach password-protected prototypes, but the documentation specifically states you can post "Password protected prototypes and design specs"

    Hi Kristy,

Apologies for the inconvenience. It would be really helpful if you can share more details on the issue : is it specific to any browser? What happens when you try to attach password protected prototype > Do you see any error message?

    Thanks!

I'm a Jira administrator and installed the Adobe XD plugin upon request of one of our users. Like Thomas Abraham the Panel is too prominently placed in the issue view. In addition, it's enabled for all plugins by default so it annoys projects that don't have anything to do with visual designs. The plugins configuration page is only reachable via Manage add-ons > Adobe XD > Configure instead of placing a link in the add-on admin's side panel like every other plugin is doing it. To make it even worse, the configuration UI is reachable without any permission check for every logged in (non-admin) user knowing the URL endpoint. A project admin should be able to configure the plugin on his/her own for his/her project.

original review from 2019-03-14 I'm writing from the Jira Administrator's perspective. The plugin panel is being integrated very much too prominent and too big to make it acceptable for both developers and designers. Once enabled for a particular Jira project every user of the project has to live with Adobe XD - regardless if she's a frontend developer, backend developer, data specialist, Jira admin, product owner, steakholder - whatever. Most of our Jira users never will have to integrate Adobe XD but recently have found this huge Adobe XD area wasting their screen space. In addition, this AddOn breaks the Quick Filters in the backlog view of an agile board. Once both issues are fixed I'm willing to evaluate it again. ---- edit, 2019-03-27 Thank you, Adobe, for fixing the Quick Link issue. But some of our users (esp. Mac users) are not able to collapse the Adobe XD area permanently. When editing labels, i.e., the formerly collapsed area is expanded again. I'm not sure if this issue correlates with "The property xd-links does not exist.", thrown in ${jiraBasePath}/rest/api/2/issue/${issueKey}/properties/xd-links Our developers are going to force me to switch that plugin off again. I am sorry for that. ---- update: 2019-07-30, Version 2.0.2 The Addon still is buggy. I appreciate having more granular settings available to activate the XD field for particular projects and issuetypes. Unfortunately the list of activated issuetypes cannot be adjusted. Every attempt of adding or removing issuetypes fails. (We have a lot of issuetypes, indeed.) The list of active projects can be adjusted though. In addition, there's an ugly warn message after pressing the "Save" button. It tells me I'm going to deactivate the Addon. Nevertheless the addon stays activated.

We couldn't agree more Thomas! We're actively working to enable granular configuration controls for our plugin. We have just rolled out a new release with the fix for issue with quick filters. Give it a try and let us know how you like it!

As mentioned by Thomas, this add-on currently breaks the Quick Filters in the backlog boards. Otherwise, its ok. It applies to every project by default up front, this can be changed quite easily. I believe that the XD visual element that gets added to each project should be much smaller, unless something has been added to the project.

We have a massive environment with over 10,000 projects in our Jira instance and there are a very specific set of projects which actually need to Adobe XD plugin enabled. We have followed your documentation and removed all projects to then only add the ones which need the app enabled. However, going forward every time a new project is created the default behavior is to enable the plugin. Is there an option which we can turn off the automatic enablement of the app? Unless there is a way to change this default behavior, we will not be able to install this app. This will add additional UI elements to an already very busy view for 1000s of our users who will have no idea what Adobe XD is. I tried to email directly, but got back an auto reply "The group extintgr only accepts messages from people on its allowed senders list, and your email address isn't on the list." I then attempted to raise a support ticket, but there is no clear way to reach anything that resembles a support queue. The link provided takes you to a forum which has been set to read-only as of August 2019 and then directs you to community forums that have nothing to do with this Jira App.
